Restaurant Highlight: Cru
I never, ever would have thought that I’d actually like a restaurant that served organic vegan raw food. Organic, sure; vegan, I guess; but RAW?! Thanks to Cru in Silverlake, CA, I now view vegan raw food differently. They serve creative dishes such as an Asian Noodle Bowl made with kelp noodles, Lasagna Portobello made with layers of porotobello mushrooms and other vegetables, and so on. For those of you who prefer your food warm, they also have a small “cooked foods” section on their menu. The food is surprisingly delicious! Take a look:
